  • Campion Trail North is the northern completed portion (7.5 miles) of the planned Campion trail that will be 22 miles when complete. Someday this will connect with Campion trail south to complete the trail.

This is a 12 foot wide cement mostly linear trail the travels along the Elm fork of the Trinity river. It extends from Valley Ranch planned development community to Las Colinas.

There is parking at California Crossing, Bird’s Fort, Spring, and Sam Houston Trail Park (this is the parking lot on the map, just north of Valley view lane and west of the Trinity River). Going south from Sam Houston Trail Park you will cross Pavillions, a Bird Sanctuary, Polo Fields, a Spillway Area and a  State Record Elm Tree.
