Little Bluestem trail trail is a short wheelchair accessible trail in Cedar Ridge Preserve. It starts in a touch, hear and smell butterfly garden that is maintained to include many of the native species in north Texas. It has several benches along the path for those who need to rest as they make their way around. Since the trail skirts the edge of the woods, there are many birds that can be observed from one of the many benches.
The trail goes through Wildflowers and light woods as well as a tall grass prairie.
Cedar Ridge Preserve maintained my Audubon Dallas and volunteers. It is a wonderful preserve and recently there is plenty of evidence that it may be loved more than it is supported. Maintaining trails that get this kind of traffic requires resources of money and time. Please donate in the donation bin in front of the building to help keep resources like this available to all people in our community.
